Big Sky in the Big Apple

I have been a big fan of the voip calling/messaging services offered by Skype for years now. It’s just such a better (read: much cheaper) way of making long distance calls, and I really would hate to go without it these days. I have been the reason for many of my friends and family starting to use the service, and most, if not all of them, continue to do so because its just so convenient. However, since I bought my iPhone last December, one thing that I have consistently wondered about, is would I ever be able to easily use Skype on it.

Well, finally, it looks like my wish has been granted. Today it was announced that a proper Skype app has been created specifically for the iPhone, and is available for download from the Apple App Store. It has all of the features of your regular PC Skype, and should be a very popular addition to the iPhone.
