Big Sky in the Big Apple

Some odd news today out of the land down under (NZ land) will surely prompt others to keep a better eye on their own children whilst a computer is present. You see, there was an unfortunate situation in New Zealand recently where a small child (only three years old if I remember correctly) was left briefly unattended by her Mother’s laptop. Now, previously the Mother had been searching for small “digger” toys on the laptop through the website Trade Me. Unfortunately when she returned to the room her young daughter had managed a few clicks of the mouse in some lucky (or unlucky) places in which she managed to purchase a twenty thousand dollar digging machine! Needless to say the Mother was shocked.

However, the situation was resolved by a phone call to the Trade Me customer service team who were surprisingly understanding and able to rectify the situation (maybe this happens often???) Nonetheless, it’s a good lesson in knowing what your kids are up to at all times!
